Jain Temple Hanging
Jain Temple Hanging (chor or puthiya) these were made or commissioned by families to be given to the local Jain Temple. This is a representation of Jain lokapurusha or universal man and is very similar to one at the V&A museum (http://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O1308866/jain-textile-hanging/)
Silver and gold stumpwork with sequins on a rich deep red velvet cloth, (the colour fails to show well in the photo)
